On January 24, 2022, GCLSemi successfully passed the IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System certification of SGS, and obtained the IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System compliance certificate. The scope of certification is "Manufacturing of Semiconductor grade silicon wafer". The introduction of this automotive industry system certification marks that GCLSemi's silicon wafer products have obtained a green pass to enter the automotive supply chain.

SGS is the world's leading inspection, identification, testing and certification organization, and its standard of certification is a globally recognized benchmark of quality and integrity. IATF 16949 certification is a highly recognized institution in the automotive industry. Some well-known international automobile manufacturers have strictly demand their suppliers to pass IATF 16949 certification. GCLSemi had done this assessment certification in mid-April 2021.  GCLSemi departments had completed this audit qualification with very good results. The overall evaluation met the certification requirements of the quality management system and the company was recognized by SGS with outstanding work achievements.
