On December 24, 2021, Jiangsu Provincial Department of industry and information technology /Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance had issued a notice, with regards to  publish the list of Jiangsu Smart Manufacturing Factory” in Jiangsu Province in 2021--- "Smart Semiconductor Factory -  Wafer cutting, Wafer grinding and Wafer polishing "  We are delighted that GCLSemi was successfully shortlisted.

GCLSemi has taken “Smart Factory “ concept to the new level, so as to increase our company‘s core competitiveness. 35 million yuan was invested into this newly transformed and automated cutting, grinding and polishing wafer fab. It includes industrial safety network and eight key production management systems such as MES (Manufacturing execution System), EAP (Equipment Automation Process), SPC (Statistical Process Control), EDA (Electronic Design Automation) and FDC(Fault detection control) and three other systems, which cover the whole product life cycle of silicon wafers manufacturing and achieving total product quality traceability. 

In the Smart factory， after the production plan has been issued, the MES system will automatically generate  instruction for production, the production process data will be automatically exported to the SPC system for process control. The EDA system will automatically complete the quality result analysis. The EAP system automatically connects the semiconductor equipment to control the operation of this equipment. The FDC system continuously monitor equipment performance in order to improve its overall effectiveness. Engineer will collect and analyze the equipment parameters, and all system abnormalities will be automatically detected and managed accordingly. This whole system makes up the SMART FACTORY. This standardized quality control process ensures that that our information and wafer quality are reliable, controlled and efficient. In the near future, these management systems will become the core revolutions of our Smart factory in GCLSemi We aim to transform into a fully automated, information-based and highly digitalized factory.

Currently, our Smart Factory has gained great recognition (for our strict quality control), our wafers have been qualified by many international mainstream manufacturers, and attained   more than 70 international and local customers, leading to many permanent sales orders. In terms of epitaxial wafers, in Q4 2021, We have successfully produced 12 inch epitaxial wafers which had been able to meet the required specifications of 14 nm wafers. Our mainstream customers are in the process of qualifying this product too.
